Katrina Kaif , born Katrina Turquotte also spelled - Turcotte -16 July 1983 ) is a British-Indian film actress and model. Known for his work in Bollywood movies , Kaif has also appeared in Telugu and Malayalam films. In addition to being one of the highest paid actresses in Bollywood , she is known as one of the most attractive celebrities in India by the media.
Born in Hong Kong, Kaif and her family have lived in several countries before moving to India. She received her first modeling assignment as a teenager and later pursued a career as a model . During a show in London filmmaker Kaizad Gustad threw in Boom (2003) , a critical and commercial failure. While filming in India, Kaif received modeling assignments and established a successful modeling career . However , filmmakers were reluctant to throw because of his poor command of Hindi. After appearing in the Telugu film success Malliswari (2004) , earned Kaif Bollywood commercial success with romantic comedies Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? (2005) and Namastey London ( 2007). She followed with a series of successes at the box -office , but was criticized for his play , repetitive roles and envy films predominantly male .
